Our client had the vision of improving urban mobility in emerging markets. Starting with Africa, the main objective was to collect data depicting public transportation usage to make transport more accessible, predictable, easier to navigate, and safer to use for everyone.
We built an android data collector app. Through crowdsourcing data, users of public transportation could share information about their everyday public transport journeys with other users. As a collaborative tool, the more people shared information, the better and more accurate the information about public transport would be.
